A Celebration of Beer
Looking for a reason to crack open a cold one? Here is a historic reason.
Ok, OK, we know it’s not a national Holiday (it should be) but April 7th is National beer day. On this day we celebrate the Cullen-Harrison Act going into effect in 1933. This bill, signed by President Franklin D. Roosevelt allowed for the sale, purchase and consumption of beer once again. You see alcohol was prohibited from the years 1920-1933 all thanks (not really) to President Woodrow Wilson’s veto of the 18th Amendment. But enough of the history lesson, let’s just be thankful we weren’t alive during those dry years.
This year we’ll be celebrating National Beer Day the Texas way. Stop by the Cellar Bar and enjoy all Texas beer, Texas Wine, and Texas spirit for cheap!
